IK Sävehof was one of 66 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Lundaspelen Handball 2018. They participated with 51 teams in all categories except Boys 8, Wheelchair and Girls 8. Four teams played until Final in Playoff A; Boys 16 1 won over LUGI HF by 21-10, Girls 16 1 lost against FIF Håndbold by 9-12, Girls 19 lost against Herning Ikast Håndbold by 7-12 and Special class lost against IFK Tumba Härs & Tvärs by 7-15.

In addition to this, IK Sävehof have participated in Lundaspelen Handball before. During Lundaspelen Handball 2017, Sävehof had 52 teams playing in all categories except Boys 8, Boys 9, Boys 10, Boys 11, Boys 12, Boys 13, Boys 14, Boys 15, Boys 16, Boys 19, Wheelchair, Special class, Girls 8, Girls 9, Girls 10, Girls 11, Girls 12, Girls 13, Girls 14, Girls 15, Girls 16 and Girls 19. The team in Special class made it to the the in Gruppspeland won it over SV Werder Bremen by 14-13.

Sävehof comes from Partille which lies approximately 240 km from Lund, where Lundaspelen Handball takes place. The area around Partille does also provide six additional clubs participating during Lundaspelen Handball 2018 (Kungälvs, HK Aranäs, Torslanda HK, Önnereds HK, Nolimits IK and Backa HK).
