In addition to IK Lågan, 43 other teams from 7 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IK Lågan 1 could be found in Group 4 together with HA of Hong Kong Hong Kong MU12, FIF Håndbold, DJK Waldbüttelbrunn and LVHK 2.

IK Lågan 1 continued to Playoff A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Backa HK with 9-14. In the Final, Zagreb 1 won over FIF Håndbold and became the winner of Playoff A in Boys 12.

IK Lågan also participated in Boys 11 during Lundaspelen Handball 2017. They reached the Semi final in B11 Playoff A, but lost it against RS Zagreb 1 with 7-22.
